Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at global conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from DARPA, NSF, and private industry partners
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and lead cross-functional quantum development teams
- Translate theoretical concepts into practical solutions for healthcare, finance, and logistics sectors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum computing algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (QASM, Quil, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding through competitive proposals
- Knowledge of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
