Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype quantum solutions on real hardware
- Publish findings in Nature, Science, and IEEE journals
- Secure research grants and partnerships with academic institutions
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum computing principles
- Stay current with emerging quantum hardware developments from IBM, Google, and Rigetti
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF or DARPA grants
- Strong background in cryptography or machine learning
