Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and cryptography
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using proprietary 200+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional AI integration teams
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DoD
- Develop quantum-resistant security frameworks for Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/Physical Review X)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning and classical-quantum hybrid systems
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing hardware (D-Wave/Rigetti)
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Clearance for DoD/NASA projects preferred
