Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to extend qubit coherence times beyond 100ms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate cryogenic quantum processors
- Lead open-source projects in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at conferences like Q2B
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in Python, Qiskit, and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong background in topological quantum error correction
