Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to advance quantum decoherence mitigation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Author breakthrough publications in top-tier scientific journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures
- Secure and manage government and private research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq) and hardware platforms
- Proven ability to secure research funding ($500k+ preferred)
