Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum gate fidelity beyond 99.9%
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate and validate quantum processor performance
- Lead open-source quantum computing initiatives and publish in top-tier journals
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation projects
- Secure $2M+ in annual R&D grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum assembly languages
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects with measurable outcomes
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Security clearance eligibility (for government-funded projects)
