Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical quantum computing systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and white papers on quantum information theory
- Advise government and industry partners on quantum security standards
- Mentor junior researchers through our Quantum Fellowship Program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics (post-doc experience preferred)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (IBM Quantum Experience, Rigetti Forest)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants from NSF or DARPA
