Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Lead research publications in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum Journal
- Advise government policy on quantum security standards and ethical frameworks
- Mentor PhD interns through our Quantum Scholars program
- Secure DARPA and NSF grants for frontier research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and variational algorithms
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams
