Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, Web4.0) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with corporate objectives and market projections
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions for enterprise clients
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to the Board of Directors
- Manage $15M+ R&D budget allocation for future-tech initiatives
- Author thought leadership publications on 2026+ technology trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (AI ethics, quantum algorithms, bio-integrated systems)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight preferred
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Published research or patents in emerging technology fields
