Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead experimental research in superconducting qubit architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF/DOE grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware (superconducting/ion traps)
- Expertise in quantum algorithm development (QAOA, VQE, Grover's)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding (>1M USD)
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
