Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum-classical hybrid system development
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature Physics, Quantum Science & Technology)
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with industry partners to deploy quantum solutions in finance and healthcare
- Maintain 5-year roadmap for quantum supremacy milestones
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with Qiskit/Cirq
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Proficiency with low-level quantum control systems (FPGA, microwave engineering)
- Strong background in high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration protocols
