Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Develop error-correction methodologies for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at global symposiums
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into experimental setups
- Secure $2M+ in government and private research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (exceptional MS candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical applications
