Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum control systems
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Develop quantum software tools and SDKs for industry applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
