Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction codes to achieve fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for pharmaceutical and materials science
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype next-generation quantum processors
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional quantum research initiatives
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in quantum circuit design using Qiskit or Cirq frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation software
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and entanglement principles
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental prototypes
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience securing federal research funding
