Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with software engineers to create quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Secure patents for novel quantum methodologies and IP protection strategies
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM Special Interest Group meetings
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealers or superconducting qubits
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proficiency in Python/C++ for quantum-classical integration
- Familiarity with quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
- Security clearance eligibility for DoD-funded projects
