Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Secure $5M+ in NSF/DoE research grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Present findings at international conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in linear algebra and quantum error correction
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket)
- Strong background in cryptography or optimization theory
- Ability to secure research funding through proposal writing
