Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks leveraging quantum advantage
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on multi-qubit systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum information science or related fields
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
