Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Develop scalable quantum architectures targeting 2026 deployment milestones
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at top-tier conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grants
- Collaborate with industry partners to translate research into commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Strong background in complex mathematical analysis and linear algebra
