Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures
- Lead research publications in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in quantum computing grants from DARPA/NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Translate research prototypes into production-ready quantum software
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
