Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error-correction frameworks to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure federal and private research grants to fund quantum initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum information theory, and many-body systems
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical HPC systems
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with cryogenic systems or photonic quantum hardware preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex concepts
