Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals/conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams on quantum circuit optimization
- Secure external funding through NSF/DARPA/industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction techniques
- Strong Python/C++ programming with numerical computing expertise
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts to experimental results
