Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit systems using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into cloud infrastructure
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage federal/state grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years quantum research
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and information theory
- Ability to secure $500K+ in research funding annually
