Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit stability improvements
- Lead research initiatives for quantum machine learning applications
- Secure federal and private research grants (>$5M/year)
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Publish findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE QCE
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience securing NSF or DOE research grants
- Expertise in quantum annealing or topological computing
