Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate quantum processors and qubit control systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum cryptography and post-quantum security frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure $5M+ in government/industry grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 5+ years of experience with quantum circuit simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum information theory or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation techniques
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Clearance eligibility for government-sponsored quantum research projects
