Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary R&D teams in quantum algorithm development and hardware optimization
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing systems for commercial applications
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum mechanics
- Develop strategic partnerships with IBM, Google Quantum, and D-Wave
- Present findings at international conferences including IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum annealing or gate-based systems
- Published record in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit design frameworks
- Proven track record leading cross-functional technical teams
- Strong background in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DARPA)
