Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Secure $5M+ in federal grants and private sector funding for quantum initiatives
- Publish top-tier research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Shape quantum computing roadmap aligned with 2026 technological inflection points
- Establish industry partnerships with quantum cloud providers and Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing quantum algorithm breakthroughs (QML, Shor's, Grover's)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing DOE/NIST grants and managing $1M+ research budgets
- Strong knowledge of quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published 15+ peer-reviewed papers in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
