What You'll Achieve:
You'll lead a multidisciplinary team in developing quantum algorithms and hardware prototypes while collaborating with MIT and Caltech research partners. Your work will directly impact our roadmap for achieving quantum advantage in cryptography, drug discovery, and climate modeling simulations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through DOE and NSF proposals
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies to solve industry-specific quantum challenges
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Strong background in quantum error correction techniques
- US citizenship required for government clearance eligibility
