Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into physical quantum processors
- Publish high-impact research in leading quantum computing journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation teams
- Secure and manage research grants from government and private sector partners
- Develop roadmaps for quantum computing integration into commercial applications by 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Proven track record of leading quantum research projects with measurable outcomes
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into commercial applications
