Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error correction protocols for quantum hardware stability
- Collaborate with hardware team to translate theoretical models into practical applications
- Lead open-source quantum computing projects and publish research in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor junior researchers through our Quantum Academy program
- Secure government and industry grants for frontier research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit design frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or topological materials
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Track record of securing NSF or DoD research grants
