Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Research emerging quantum hardware technologies (photonic, trapped-ion, etc.)
- Create quantum software frameworks compatible with classical HPC systems
- Establish security protocols for quantum-resistant encryption standards
- Present findings at international quantum computing symposia
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent quantum computing conferences
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and simulation
- Proven ability to lead technical projects with $10M+ budgets
- Clearance for government quantum initiatives is preferred
