Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic qubits
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum operations
- Integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing systems for enterprise applications
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum machine learning algorithms and optimization
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Document quantum system specifications and create implementation roadmaps
- Stay current with quantum standards (IEEE P3205, QIR) and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm design and quantum circuit optimization
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit Aer, Q# Quantum Development Kit)
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields preferred
- Certification in quantum computing (e.g., IBM Quantum Professional) a plus
