Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Optimize quantum circuits for error mitigation and scalability on real hardware
- Collaborate with physicists to translate complex quantum phenomena into implementable algorithms
- Create hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for 2026-era AI systems
- Lead quantum security protocol development for next-gen cryptography
- Document algorithm performance metrics and publish breakthrough research
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years implementing quantum algorithms on real quantum hardware
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven track record of publishing in quantum computing or related fields
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity theory
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to interdisciplinary teams
