Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum machine learning algorithms for optimization and pattern recognition
- Design hybrid quantum-classical neural network architectures
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype and validate quantum AI applications
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at top-tier conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and drive technical roadmap development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience in quantum algorithm development or ML research
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit) and ML frameworks
- Published work in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, probability, and optimization
- Experience with high-performance computing and cloud quantum platforms
- Track record of translating research into practical applications
- US citizenship required for government project clearance
