Responsibilities
- Lead & Inspire: Supervise a team of 10+ warehouse associates during the night shift to ensure productivity targets are met.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, and quality control processes.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols (OSHA standards) to maintain a zero-incident workplace environment.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the night workflow and implement solutions to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Team Management: Conduct shift briefings, performance reviews, and training sessions to develop staff skills.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) and coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze shift reports to provide insights to upper management.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of warehouse operations experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Skills: Strong knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and inventory control procedures.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team.
- Problem Solving: Ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
- Certification: Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
