Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and phlebotomy during overnight shifts
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and emergency interventions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and triage for emergency department admissions
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless patient handoffs
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure overnight environments
- Strong proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Valid Michigan driver's license preferred
