Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during overnight hours including vitals monitoring and medication administration
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Coordinate patient flow between departments and emergency services
- Respond to patient calls and emergencies with calm professionalism
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital/urgent care setting
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong communication skills for diverse patient interactions
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
