Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures during overnight shifts
- Administer medications and injections following established protocols
- Perform diagnostic tests including EKGs, phlebotomy, and vital sign monitoring
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Coordinate patient care between departments during night operations
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment for next-day procedures
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license for potential emergency transport
