Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Proactively monitor server health, network performance, and system alerts during the night shift to prevent downtime.
- Ticket Resolution: Handle incoming IT support tickets efficiently, prioritizing critical issues affecting business operations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues for remote and on-site staff.
- Security Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols, including patch management and access control reviews.
- Backup & Recovery: Execute nightly backups and verify data integrity to ensure business continuity.
- User Support: Assist employees with password resets, account provisioning, and software installation.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in IT Helpdesk or Technical Support.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Availability: Must be willing to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Location: Must reside within the Washington DC metropolitan area.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical issues.
