Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer injections, medications, and perform EKGs/vital sign monitoring
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure accurate documentation
- Schedule appointments and handle patient billing inquiries
- Maintain sterile examination rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Coordinate with specialists and pharmacies for patient care continuity
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Oklahoma state medical assistant license (if applicable)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
