Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including patient vital signs, EKGs, and injections
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Electronic health records documentation and maintenance
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Handle lab specimens and basic lab procedures
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Meditech)
- New Mexico state certification or eligibility
- Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
