As a Night Shift QA Engineer, you will be the guardian of our software integrity. Responsibilities
- Design and Execute Test Scripts: Develop comprehensive automated test plans and scripts using industry-standard tools to ensure maximum code coverage.
- Bug Identification: Conduct thorough manual and automated testing to identify, document, and track software defects with high precision.
- Environment Maintenance: Manage and maintain the test environment, ensuring all configurations are stable and accurate for nightly builds.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor system performance during night cycles to ensure scalability and reliability under various loads.
- Collaboration: Communicate findings effectively with the development team during morning handovers to resolve critical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed test cases, logs, and bug reports to ensure transparency across the QA lifecycle.
- Process Improvement: Propose and implement new testing methodologies to enhance the speed and quality of our delivery pipeline.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance, specifically within a technical environment.
- Automation Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
- Programming Skills: Solid knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work a full-time Night Shift (e.g., 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM EST) with consistency.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Proficiency in JIRA, Git, and SQL for data validation.
