Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, AGI, biotech convergence) and develop strategic roadmaps for 2026 implementation
- Design cross-disciplinary innovation frameworks integrating IoT, blockchain, and spatial computing paradigms
- Lead stakeholder workshops with C-suite executives to align technology investments with future market landscapes
- Author white papers and thought leadership pieces on human-machine symbiosis and ethical AI governance
- Manage a $15M R&D portfolio with focus on exponential technologies and their commercial applications
- Collaborate with MIT Media Lab and Future Institute on horizon scanning and scenario planning
- Develop patent strategies for breakthrough technologies in neuromorphic computing and synthetic biology
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in futurist or foresight methodologies
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Theory, or Future Studies from Tier 1 institution
- Published author in IEEE Spectrum or Nature Futures journal on exponential technologies
- Proven track record of commercializing breakthrough tech (3+ successful exits)
- Expertise in scenario planning using Delphi method and causal layered analysis
- Deep understanding of Singularity University curriculum and exponential growth principles
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python, Rust) and quantum computing frameworks
- Security clearance eligibility for classified government innovation projects
