Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning research to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026 business landscapes
- Develop comprehensive future scenarios and strategic roadmaps for 5-year product pipelines
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate foresight findings into innovation sprints
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Build and maintain a network of futurists, academics, and industry thought leaders
- Author white papers and thought leadership content positioning our 2026 vision
- Oversee cross-functional implementation of strategic foresight initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology strategy roles
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial opportunities
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills
- Published work in foresight or strategic innovation (papers, books, reports)
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 5+ year strategic forecasting
