Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scanning data (AI, biotech, quantum computing, climate tech) to identify disruptive opportunities and threats through 2026
- Develop strategic innovation frameworks and scenario-planning models for board-level decision-making
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' workshops with engineers, designers, and business units
- Author forward-looking whitepapers and thought leadership on emerging technology impacts
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of academic, startup, and industry futurist partners
- Translate complex trend analysis into prioritized R&D and product roadmaps
- Advise leadership on ethical implications and societal impact of emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, technology foresight, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of developing and implementing 5-10 year strategic roadmaps
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI/ML, AR/VR, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, Technology Management, or equivalent
- Exceptional data synthesis and scenario-planning skills with demonstrable outputs
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and influencing high-stakes decisions
- Published thought leadership in technology or business innovation forums
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, etc.)
