Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal shifts to identify disruptive opportunities
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight insights into actionable product development plans
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, startups, and industry thought leaders
- Present compelling vision reports to executive stakeholders and board members
- Oversee implementation of pilot programs testing futuristic concepts in controlled environments
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a culture of forward-thinking across the organization
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership role
- Proven track record of translating futuristic concepts into commercial success
- Deep expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience to executive audiences
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem and futurist communities
- Published thought leadership in technology or innovation journals
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
