- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions with 3-5 year launch horizons
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers to accelerate R&D cycles
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor a team of futurists and technology analysts while building an innovation incubation framework
- Monitor global tech policy shifts and geopolitical factors affecting technology adoption landscapes
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven 5+ year planning cycles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology Policy (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI ethics, quantum applications, biotech convergence)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful implementation of future-facing tech initiatives
- Exceptional data storytelling skills translating complex tech concepts into business narratives
- Experience securing $10M+ R&D budgets and managing cross-continental innovation teams
- Published thought leadership in technology journals or industry white papers
- Clearance for handling sensitive emerging technology intellectual property
