Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and organizational goals
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype solutions for 2026 challenges
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, bio-convergence) for commercial viability
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Manage $5M+ R&D budgets for future-focused initiatives
- Build partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) and tech pioneers
- Mentor a team of 8 futurists and technology architects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or innovation leadership at Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Proven track record developing multi-year technology roadmaps with measurable ROI
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AGI, or decentralized systems
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing >$3M innovation budgets
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published research or patents in forward-looking technology domains
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience to executive audiences
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., CFIP) preferred
