Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors (neurotech, climate AI, autonomous systems)
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and futurists in prototype development
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-7 year market impact
- Develop ethical frameworks for next-gen AI and quantum computing applications
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Secure $1M+ in R&D funding through grant proposals and innovation competitions
- Author thought leadership pieces published in MIT Technology Review and Nature Futures
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with demonstrable impact on 3+ future-focused initiatives
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or decentralized AI
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ commercialized future-tech products or services
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis, Delphi Method)
- Track record of securing government/VC funding for speculative R&D projects
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals or top-tier tech conferences
- Fluency in at least one predictive modeling framework (e.g., Bayesian forecasting, system dynamics)
