Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, neuro interfaces) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 5-year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-forward solutions
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption and ROI measurement
- Present strategic insights to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Partner with product teams to integrate future tech into development cycles
- Build and maintain an external network of futurists and academic researchers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in foresight methodologies (scenario planning, horizon scanning)
- Deep understanding of exponential tech trends (blockchain, biotech, AI)
- Experience with strategic frameworks (SWOT, PESTLE, Porter's Five Forces)
- Strong data analytics and market research capabilities
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business (PhD preferred)
