Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 5-year technology roadmap aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead discovery initiatives on emerging technologies (quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology) and their commercial applications
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype and validate future-facing concepts
- Present strategic technology briefings to executive stakeholders and investors
- Establish KPIs for measuring innovation adoption and ROI of future technologies
- Competitive analysis of emerging tech startups and established players in adjacent sectors
- Build and manage an external network of futurists, academic researchers, and venture capitalists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning or technology innovation leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic systems, or climate tech
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystems
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business with tech focus
- Portfolio demonstrating past technology strategy implementations
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Technology Foresight preferred
